Themis Gkion

Themis is an entrepreneur, a teacher, a mechanical engineer, a trader. He is passionate about inspiring young individuals in discovering their charisma and in making meaningful choices. He studied Mechanical Engineering at NTUA, and subsequently delved into human psychology through additional Pedagogical studies. He holds an MBA degree from INSEAD.

He started his career at Sclavos S.A., a mainly-exporting, textile machinery manufacturer. He set up the Research & Development Dept. and led various projects, culminating in the development and successful launch of an industrial product family. He has been involved in a family-run business operating a private school, at a managerial level. He gained understanding of the financial markets as a derivatives trader for the global markets division of National Bank of Greece.

Themis has been exposed to small and medium-size company dynamics, in services as well as manufacturing. His broad engineering, pedagogical and business education background, coupled with his 10-year, diverse work-experience, has provided him with an unusual set of competencies, which he enjoys applying across disciplines creatively and unconventionally.
